Its hard to stick with a bow during the rut. THey don't usually do what you expect/ It's all up to the doe (FEMALE) and we all know how fickle they can be !

Yeah, I have had a lot of does and spikes come in lately. I would have shot the does a month ago but I don't want to kill them during the rut since they may drag a big buck in. The spikes I wouldn't kill anytime. Try to let them grow into something I'd be proud to drag out of the woods. Having said all that, if one of these kids wants to go with me I will kill whatever walks up so that they can get the full experience.
I video'd a spike that was right under my stand yesterday, and another last week.The kids like to see the vids. lol
